Larry Allen Webb

Larry Webb, 81, passed away on July 14, 2019. He was born in Independence, MO and attended Paseo High School in Kansas City, MO. It was there he met the love of his life, Bette Gilbert. They married in 1957 and moved to Phoenix shortly thereafter. Larry played football as a freshman at Arizona State College, served in the Navy Reserve, and founded Capitol Detective Agency.

He was a founder of the Arizona Association of Licensed Private Investigators and was their first President. He also served as President of the World Association of Detectives in 1989 and was a member of AFIO. Larry had a strong love for the Lord. He was known by his friends for his generosity and sense of humor. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Bette, children Kathy Madson, Michael Webb, and Karen McKenzie, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and his brother Don Webb. Larry, you will be missed.

Matt Brooks

Matthew “Matt” Brooks passed away on October 24th, 2020, from natural causes. Matt worked for over 25 years in law enforcement, starting his career with the Eloy Police Department and later becoming the Chief of Police for the Welton, AZ Police Department.

Matt started Brooks Investigations serving southwest Arizona, Yuma, La Paz and Pinal Counties. Matt was a long time member of the Arizona Association of Licensed Private Investigators. During his time with AALPI he was on the Board of Directors holding the positions of Sergeant of Arms, Vice President and President. Matt, you will be missed.

Richard Luehring

Richard B. Luehring passed away on October 17th, 2020, from natural causes. Richard was the Principal and founder of the Southwest Group. Richard had over thirty years of experience in the security, loss prevention, and private investigation industry. Richard was a former Police Officer in Illinois, and a Veteran of the United States Air Force.

Richard was known for riding his motorcycle, smoking cigars, having a big heart, and offering help to anyone who needed it. Richard was also an active member of the Arizona Association of Licensed Private Investigators and a pillar in the Arizona PI community. Richard, you will be missed.
