Toby Braun is the Founder and Managing Partner of American Special Investigative Group (ASIG), a premier investigation and intelligence firm recognized as an industry leader. A multi-state licensed and board-certified investigator, Toby is also a certified international investigator and security expert with over a decade of experience spanning criminal investigations, human trafficking, fugitive apprehension, undercover operations, international cases, protective operations, and security consulting.

Toby is fluent in English, German, and French, and has undertaken assignments across South and Central America, Europe, the Middle East, and several African nations. His work has resulted in the arrest of over 100 fugitives worldwide and the recovery of nearly $1 billion in illicit or stolen assets, including cryptocurrency. He has also developed security and risk management protocols implemented at some of the largest live-music events, schools, and corporations in the United States.

A frequent media commentator, Toby has appeared on major networks such as FOX News, ABC, CBS, and Forbes, offering expert insights on domestic terrorism, high-profile criminal cases, active shooter incidents, and emerging fraud schemes.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Toby is deeply committed to public safety and humanitarian causes. He volunteers as a human trafficking investigator for the Anti-Predator Project (APP), where he leads investigations into individuals and organizations involved in human trafficking and focuses on the recovery of American children trafficked on the black market, as well as victim protection.

Toby holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Nova Southeastern University and a master’s degree in National Security and Intelligence Studies from American Military University. He is a graduate of TEEX Law Enforcement Training Center’s SWAT School, a certified law enforcement firearms instructor, and an expert witness in use of force, firearms, and undercover operations. Toby is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts, the International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors, the Council of International Investigators, the World Association of Detectives, and the National Association of Legal Investigators.
